According to the Sunday Times most of the senior New Liar ministers have claimed massive expenses for things such as mortgage, minor house repairs and so on. Over 3 years or so Straw, Blunkett, Beckett et al have claimed over £50K. And yet the mortgage payments amount to no more than a few grand. So, what have they done with the money? I'm surprised this one is not making the headlines.

I trust they have properly receipted their expense claims and that the revenue perform periodic assessments to make sure they arent doing anything dodgy...
Then again, if prescott can get away without paying any council tax...
How on earth can you 'forget' to pay it - I get 15 letters and a threat of legal action if im a week past a single installment... he does the equivalent of a direct debit from the tax payers bank account...
Can we have some interest back on what turns out to be another loan to a nu labour mp ...?
Makes me think of those 'shop someone who isnt paying tax' infotainment broadcasts we pay the revenue to sell to us.... maybe if enough people mention a certion j prescott...
And why have the press turned the 'loans for peerages' scandal into 'why dont the conservatives who have been out of power for 9 years reveal who lent them cash last year' .... they arent in a position to appoint anybody to public office but apparently thats far more important that the undermining of democracy by an 'elected government'... sheesh.... nu labour must have pictures of all the newspaper editors in some fetish club orgy or something.Vieze Oude Man

If we had started this thread three years ago the bulletin board would have been on fire. But now hardly anyone can be arsed to comment.
We are becoming just like the rest of our dumbed-down electorate - we don't care what New Labour does as long as we get our tax credits, schools and hospitals keep improving, and the prices of our houses make us richer every day.
I bet a load of you will be voting for them in the forthcoming local elections.Comment
