Who cares, at 5 minutes a shine, that's £24/hour, cash in hand.

I'm thinking of starting a similar service for hedge fund managers. For £7.50 I'll pluck little designer frays in their Ralph Lauren jeans with a Stanley knife.

Is that really all you can think of doing with the combination Stanley knife and hedge fund manager?

Like HAB's bath, once a week - whether they need shining ornot

That's the one that prompted me to make this thread!

On the way to the jubilee through the 'Citi' area?

They have a fashion show down there today

That sounds about right. In the corridor next to some swish, one dimensional, in-the-wall sandwich bar.

There's one in Edinburgh airport, which I use often enough if I'm suited and booted. I like my shinny shoes when stepping into the office.

In parts of Latin America these "Limpiabotas" just won't leave you alone. So much so that when I'm there I always make sure whatever I'm wearing on my feet isn't shoe-shineable.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
