I'm guessing Lewis didn't win it because we were all waking up to financial ruin and the last thing people wanted to do was reward a millionaire playboy who drives a fast car for a living.

I expect much the same this year.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Anyone know what the odds are for Giggy winning?

      Giggs
      Haye
      Murray
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

          Unfortunately Button will win it.

Personally I'd vote for Jess Ennis or Beth Tweddle, who do a bit more than swan around Monte Carlo to prepare for their sport.

Depends on your definition of sport. As talented an athlete Beth Tweddle may be, a 'sport' whose winner is declared based on a subjective scoring method by judges should not be a sport. I see sport as something that requires an individual or team acheiving a higher objective score than their opposition. There are caveats. Darts isn't a sport...it's a game. Cricket is definitely a sport as is football. Diving isn't a sport. Some forms of motor racing are sport (e.g. Formula Ford) but F1 isn't. Just my 2p worth.

              I agree.
They should also include the so called Blood Sports though. They could get Basil Brush to host and then chase him out of the studio with a pack of hounds on his tail.
It might be worth watching then

                Psst...EO...Basil Brush isn't real...

And another thing. Define 'personality'. The biggest 'personality' out of the final 10 is, I believe, a toss up between Hayes, Giggs and Murray.

I'm pretty sure you'd struggle with Jenson's (or any F1 driver's) training plan, but that's not the point. In season he does 3-4 hours training each day, if he didn't he'd black out after a couple of laps as his neck gave way.

Don't disagree with what you've said. F1 drivers are super-fit. However, success is largely down to the speed, reliability and technical improvements made on a team's car which is ultimately acheived through money. Obviously, no point sticking Beth Tweddle in a Ferrari and no point trying to get Button to perform a floor exrercise.
