About 3 hours 30 minutes in a proper contractor's car.

      IAA?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

So what did you buy? Is that mini coupe as good as it sounds?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I could do that in 15 minutes - on my pushbike.

Maybe because I live 5 km from the Messe halle

Took a leisurely tour down, but I'm now properly ensconced in a hotel. Shall be taking my time looking at all the shiny shiny things tomorrow.

You only think driving is cheap because you have a sensible car.

Try driving that distance in a luxury sports car that does 15 mpg.

                Then who's the cheapskate...

Had a strange dream where I relived parts of the drive down, specifically the contra-flows and bridge works.

What is it with German motorways and all the bridges? I am certain several of the new bridges just stopped in mid air and had open fields at either end, i.e. they were there but nothing could use them, and they didn't appear to be replacement bridges as they weren't anywhere near old bridges, or any other proper roads that I could see on the navigator.

Some places had two lanes, but you'd catch up with a lorry and there was just no way to overtake as what remained of the 2nd lane was too narrow, and they went on for miles.
