Oh shaddap you rice lovers. Trying to get take the battle elsewhere now you know your rice has been over boiled. It was also predictable after I mentioned "blue collar workers".

Seeing as the 'blue collar workers' tag must mean you see a car as a status symbol what sort of image does a Z4 driver think he's projecting?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
I think we've reached the end of this discussion and I've made my mind up.
boxster - great car but for 10K it'll be pretty old so could turn into a nightmare.
BMW - no thanks. Not a fan.
S2000 - that's the 1 for me. Good value for money.

Actually the "blue collar workers" tag relating to the S2000 is not of my own mind, it`s often been noted before. And I know a few owners and it rings true. But who cares, I noted it here as a larf.
I don`t see a car as a status symbol at all. Having said that, impressions matter in business. I mean who on first appearance seems more successful, someone driving an S Reg Ford with a dent in it, or someone who takes a client out to lunch in an M Powered BMW? Sure, I know it`s BS but impressions matter in business.
Not that long ago I drove a D reg BMW around just for the hell of it, many people hated it, but it was a great topic of discussion.
You could say the same about those who dislike BMW`s because of the image. If many people drove one they`d think a llittle differentlty
