Yep - he is already a legend so "super-hero" status will be next.

O'Connell is an awesome player but he's been a bit off-form so far on tour, I'm sure he'll get em wound up and raring for the Test though.

Of course he could also end up with a perfect 6-0 record when playing for the Lions if you include the running biatch slap the kiwis gave you in 2005.

It might interest you to know that the 'Hard Nosed International Coach' was a Mr Geoff Old, with 3 caps at flanker for the All Blacks. Unfortunately he left Dutch rugby frustrated at the amateurish attitude of the union officials and the lack of ambition and stupid cliqueyness among the top clubs and refusal to make reforms to raise the standard. He wanted to bring in a few Dutch eligible guys from NZ, but the union insisted on 5 years residence even if someone had a Dutch passport; that created the unusual situation of an Englishman playing for Holland on the grounds of 5 years residence and speaking Dutch, while a dual nationality Dutch Kiwi would be left out. A real shame as he was very well respected by the players. Hell, if an All Black flanker, even one with only 3 caps, tells you to jump, you say 'how high, SIR?' And when he says 'good tackle mate' you know you've done something right.

If Ferris had stayed fit it would have been an all Irish back row.

I would have been so proud......

Phew! Good job I took a punt on HNIC rather than my original "In-Bred Flat-Head Yokel"
