140lbs of fat....FFS...Its about same as a normal person's weight...He must havent had done anything in his whole life apart from eating and drinking.

Anyways, good for him....Hopefully he'd take it as an oppurtunity to turn around a new leaf and started working out regularly and follow healthy lifestyle after this fat loss process.

I think its OK to go under the knife if you have ridiculous amount of fat but people must know that its no replacement of workout and healthy lifestyle....my 2c...

To be fair, I think that a part of the procedure was the removal of his excess skin left over from where he'd previously lost some weight. No amount of exercise will help with that.
I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt, not that fancy store-bought dirt... I can't compete with that stuff.

If he'd lost weight sensibly, rather than having a gastric band he'd have much less of a problem.

<note to self......don't try to be funny on CUK unless the "jokes" are REALLY simple>
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Yes - humour can certainly be missed. Years ago I was watching a film (English) with a group of Norwegians. They were all fluent in English, but missed a lot of the subtle humour. I kept letting out great guffaws every now and again and they would all look at me like I was mad.
