        Volcanologist

I didn’t get the right A level results to study Geology. Now however I’m studying again on the OU, and some day in my 40’s I’ll get there.

Nuclear physicist - tough job when you grow up in a country with a "No nuclear power" regime.
Then auditor - was on my way to it but began to find it boring and migrated myself into IT audit.

                1. RAF Pilot
                2. Commercial Pilot
                3. Copper

                1. Got as far as the ATC, but then eyesight not good enough to become a pilot.
                2. Because of eyesight, this then fell out of the loop.
                3. 0.5 inches too short during the assessment.

Went in to banking instead for 2 years. Left because it was boring. Went in to RDBMS instead. Left when my band got a record deal. Left music industry due to contract problems, and rejoined music industry as an IT manager. Stayed in IT ever since...now with Public Sector.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Didnt have a career of choice, but I worked in a hotel kitchen as a pot washer, then became waiter, so I decided at 16 I wanted to be a chef and do an BTEC in hotel and catering. I went to the open day but decided I didnt want to be a chef as I knew at the time I couldnt / family couldnt afford to buy the equipment I needed. So I did Business instead and ended up as a contractor.

Ideally I wanted to be a vet but was too thick and ended up as a contractor.
