I can't say I have. You're right nature is cruel, but I don't agree with this and the unnecessary pain the seals are suffering because someone wants to make a handbag or other useless piece of tat from them.

I always find it confusing what the animal loving public deems cruel? Battery reared chickens whose bones collapse under their own high fat diet for the provision of ever cheaper meat. The slaughter of Pigs, where a pig has higher inteligence than a pet dog.

I have a friend who became veggie after seeing a despatches documentry on the food chain in this country. I have a lot of respect for people willing to make life changes in order not to contribute to something they can't abide. Someone who enjoys chewing on a McDonalds finding seal murder distasteful reeks of hypocricy.

Anyway, culling is necessary as a population control. And making money from it doesn't necessarily make it evil. If all the seals were sprayed to make their skins unsaleable, the cull would still take place.

If seals weren't cute and fluffy, nobody would care.

Did you know that 19 million minks are bred for and killed for their skins every year in the EU?

Taking satisfaction over the death of three hunters seems to me to far more morally reprehensible than culling seals.
