Yep, partially true - no dirtier from what I've seen than any of the other large British cities. Most definitely overpriced - but equally overpaid - I've still got more in my pocket after shelling out for overpriced everything than I would do living anywhere else in Britain, I feel safer here than I do in most British cities (All down to where you live, in every city). It is unfriendlier than every other city in Britain I'd grant you.

Equally it has more of everything than any other city in Britain. Cheaper flights, more clubs, more venues, more and best restaurants, best shopping, best looking/dressed women, better weather, more and best paid jobs and all round just plain more exciting.

Yeah people aren't as friendly and house prices are a joke but it has its plus points. And that's not in a London is the best city on earth kind of way, just my 2c (I can still think of a handful of cities in the world I'd rather live in, just no others in Britain).

you have a better quality of life in Manchester, something which you scoffed at.

That's possible - I don't like busy cities like London and consider my quality of life in Birmingham better than if I was in London.

The main point however is that making comparison of something with something else should be logical as otherwise it makes no sense or probably used to mislead - if you commute to London from Manchester then you can also commute from Birmingham, so valid comparison should have been if Manchester is better than Birmingham.

Well, on this I have no opinion as I have not lived in Manchester. However given that Brum is closer to London for commuting

90% of people would rather put up with the south east estuary accent than the Manc/Liverpool conerbation accent

I could think of nothing worse than having to listen to the Manc or Liverpudlian accent all day long and in the pubs in the evening

So I assume WA16 is a postcode? I think you'll find if you go do a wee bit of research that London tops most postcode lists (Depending on how you want to measure wealth, but generally seems to be about 9/10 of the richest postcodes, go google for yourself and you'll see article after article on it).
