    Leather wallet

Need to get a new wallet for a mate as a gift (fecking January Birthdays).

Anyway looking for something like this: http://www.aspinaloflondon.com/acces...8&DesignID=900

But one that is the same size (he likes small wallets) but with a thing for notes.

Its his 25th so want to make it a nice one but not too nice as I am a tight arsed barsteward.

Anyone got a suggestion for a nice place to get stuff like this from?

I think this classifies as shallowest post of 2008 so far

If you were a good mate, you'd fill it with crisp £50's.

PS, try your local market, £5 for two.

So you're both basically saying that you don't know anywhere.

I never claimed to know anything about fashion etc hence why I asked.

Him being the London city lawyer trainee type digs this stuff...more over his misses digs him looking the image with this stuff. She has been laying some real strong hints over what I should get him - i.e. e-mailing me to tell me.

Essentially I was told the B&Q voucher that I was trying to give him was not acceptable.

        Vouchers...the gift of choice.

This reminds me of the bit in American Psycho where they compare business cards.

No, I said local market has piles of leather goods such as wallets etc and you also get the warm feeling knowing that the market trader pays no VAT (cash into pocket) and very little tax too.

That's quite risky though, as they're all caught by IR35.

My mum gave me some M&S vouchers some years ago, and not being a big clothes shopper or knowing much about clothes shops, they were sitting idle in my wallet for years before I took the opportunity to try to use them. It turned out I was in the wrong type of shop (of a similar sort, forget the name, Lewis maybe) and they didn't want to know about my vouchers. They just wanted money. Mum exchanged vouchers for cash in the end. God knows what she did with them, apparently you have to use them in the shop that gives you them in the first place, but the shop was just full of rubbish as far as I could tell.

You didn't fancy the M&S chinos or £99 suit with matching beige hush puppies then?

I agree there's not much in M&S for a bloke. The food hall is nice though.
