I think the tours stopped a few years ago, though Rushholme is always a good bet!

Rusholme currys are perhaps the worst in the world. Absolute slop and only edible after a double figure quantity of pints.

if you want a proper curry, head out to West Didsbury
          Gurkha Grill
          Great Katmandu
Both on Burton Road and both award winning restaurants

Theres 4 other top restaurants there, the green room (vegetarian), the lime (or lemon) tree, Bistro 156 and the west didsbury bistro. The metropolitan also does very good food.

Afterwards head over to the metropolitan or railway pubs for a pint (have a wander through the metropolitan car park and count the porches)
          Coffee's for closers

Mancheser should be done like this: -

                Stay at the Rosetti.
Ideally arrive ona friday nigh so you can go to City Road for kareoke.
Saturday, do a bit shopping at harvey nicks and selfridges in the morning (but only for 1 hour, tops). Purchase only harvey nicks champagne and chocolates, and maybe a nice £500 bag from selfridges.
Take your shopping for a few pints along Deansgate (and when I say Deansgate, I dont mean the ponsey ones, I mean the nice old boozers hanging off it - nags head (get a pie for lunch), rising sun, etc).
head back to the hotel about 4 or 5 to get ready and neck your champagne and choccies (thats tea sorted).
if its summer, then drink your way along the outside of deansgate lock. if its winter or too cold to sit out, then only stay until it starts getting busy.
Then head straight to Galvins. Do not stop for any reason, just go straight to Galvins, kick off your shoes, stick some Tenacious D on the free jukebox, play a few games of pool, then sit back, relax, watch the barmaids have a fight with each other, and enjoy

Sunday, head to exchange square and sit outside having some dinner and a few more pints.

                Ahhhhhhh, I LOVE manchester Wah

                  Either that or...

Ideally, arrive early on a Friday. Go directly, without stopping, to the airport and fly somewhere less like the bronx.

                  HTH
