It seems like the whole IT world has moved away from SQL Server / Azure to Oracle and AWS/GCP.

And the list of requirements from clients has gone mental, its like wanting a plumber but also wanting them with first rate pottery and blade-smithing skills.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Strange it was SQL & Azure all the way in December. Oracle wasn't even mentioned (I have both).

Really? Microsoft released their latest quarterly results recently and I can't remember the exact numbers but their market share is something like 2-3 x GCP. Obviously still some way behind AWS.

There appears to be a huge amount of work for both Azure and AWS cloud specialists. I cannot imagine anyone with those skills having more than a week between gigs.

Then you get compete for roles with the hundreds of thousands of other Java devs out there.

Learn Azure or AWS, Data Science or Cyber security. Less competition.
