Could be worse it could have been pigeon...Originally posted by Gibbon View Post
That's my childhood, also no carpets and orange crates for stools, ice on the inside of the windows etc. And fecking lead shot infested rabbit apart from Sunday."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I liked pigeon and can even tolerate any left over shot, even better was duck, never minded the plucking either, still don't when I get chance.Originally posted by SueEllen View Post

Or free for that matter. Especially older stuff that's no longer in vogue. But your local big BHF or similar will have stuff for £5-10 that is probably quite good.Originally posted by ladymuck View PostLoads of excellent second hand furniture to be had out there, ready to be delivered.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Curiously, I spotted half a dozen orange crates chucked out behind the pub when I was at the dentist this morning. Result.Originally posted by Gibbon View Post

[NLUK]You had orange crates? When I were a lad we had to sit on the dirt and be grateful for it. We then had to eat the dirt once it had been defrosted enough by our body heat[/NLUK]Originally posted by Gibbon View Post

Who remembers homemade go-karts and the luxury of used pram wheels, my mate got really lucky with pneumatic ones
. I swear I learnt more about applied physics and engineering in my Dad's garage with that go-kart than I ever learnt at school. He might have fed us rabbit, but he had a well stocked garage and he also had pigeon bangers. These days I'd be in prison with the 'bombs' and mortars we built and fired.

You had dirt? Luxury - we didn't even have floors! Our parents bought an old run down house that had rough brick or rotten wood floors, my early years were digging. Oh and leaky single glazed windows a white XMAS was freezing.Originally posted by ladymuck View Post
