    Plus the ones that are wagging it off the back of a ping that didn't exist. Perfect time for a few days off with this weather.

    He said: "Our Covid cases are roughly doubling every week and the pinging level is about three to one of Covid cases, so we're seeing that growing exponentially."

    He said: "If there's shortages we'll have to manage it by changing hours of stores, reducing hours."

    A "side-effect" of letting virus run amok, but don't you worry - they'll just turn off the app soon with cases now going to be far ahead of 100k.

Then the vaccines arrived and that has been the drumbeat ever since: jabs in arms. What I am trying to say is that the incentive to get anything out there was too high.

    Parts of Cornwall are already rammed and we're not even in August yet.
    That's why the list should be green or red.

    With no amber.

    Or no amber++

    I think younger people would have played along better if the economy and society would have worked for them as well. You know, feeling as if you belong. A lot of them are resigned with the idea and just do the opposite. Not being used as scapegoat for the disaster approach we had to covid would have been good as well.

    everyone is going back to work, people are going out. We’ve had pubs crowed for the final. Why blame young people again.

    the response has been slow because the leadership probably knows that we’ll have to live with it and a few people will have to die. The have very smart people working for them, what they put on tv is just for show.
    but I think they could have done more, if it is a long term issues maybe people should have been encouraged to move further outside cities. If you so want them to live. Some did but now we’ve had for months employers asking people to come back into the office, managers iching to pop the question. It could have been a lot easier and better for society with more clarity, which I am sure they have, it’s just not for the plebs.

    You need leave 4 weeks after infection before you can get vaccinated.

    So if all the young are being infected then it's obvious why vaccine levels have fallen.
    Plus it was estimated that with the new variants you need to have 80-85% of your population fully vaccinated before a country reaches herd immunity....

    In Hungary young people were reluctant to get vaccinated until it was announced that anyone going to a nightclub would have to be double vaccinated. Next day there were long queues...
