It's a cultural problem. It's very frowned upon to eat healthy in UK. It's not socially acceptable to turn down unhealthy food or try and eat healthy. All the fatties group together and do whatever they can to try and take down the rest of us.

Well-fed and under-exercised like many of us I am glad that he has had a bit of a wake-up call to get in better shape though, because we are not a healthy nation. About half of us are in a vaccine priority group for instance (can't remember if it's 20m:30m or 30m:20m)
