      Contracting in the UK is dead. Paid the same as permies without the perks. Why would you bother?

        I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

                I was thinking this recently as rates have only climbed about 10% since 2000, even if you've kept on top of your game. Then I got contacted about some permie city roles and they were offering exactly the same as I was offered (and declined) by a bank I was working for in 2000.

                It's not contracting, working doesn't pay in the UK anymore.
