Are the police telling the truth for once?

    linky

David Davis has warned Downing Street not to sack Damian Green as a result of a "wrongful attempt by former officers to do him down", sources close to the Brexit Secretary have told the BBC.

One said Mr Davis might be willing to resign over the issue, although another stressed no threat had been made.

It comes after a retired detective said "thousands" of legal porn images had been found on Mr Green's computer.

Mr Green says he never watched or downloaded pornography on the computer.

A former Scotland Yard detective has told BBC News he was "shocked" by the amount of pornography viewed on a computer seized from the Commons office of senior Tory MP Damian Green.

Neil Lewis examined the device during a 2008 inquiry into government leaks and has not spoken publicly before.

He said "thousands" of thumbnail images of legal pornography were on it.

Mr Green, Theresa May's deputy, has said he never watched or downloaded pornography on the computer.
The police officers have their pensions and are retired. The RT Hon Green is a politician...

Having thumbnail pics or cache data or meta data is not absolute proof. It can be so easily planted.

I'd want to see some file names, sizes, timestamps, ACL's and attributes before i'd even consider they were telling the truth.

He has p0rn. Is any of it illegal? If not, what is the issue?

Unless there are pictures of me of course - then DG should resign.

IMO DD should resign anyway. Clearly DG has some dirt on him.

They they'd be illegal you squirrel-worrier.

As you say, if they're legal, why worry? But why mention them in the first place? Absolutely classless gossip.

The issue is the RT Hon MP is saying the retired police are lying.

Tory MPs have a long history with the police - remember plebgate

Illegality is a very low bar to set. I imagine that this would be in breach of the MP's code of conduct.

It's cos the RT Hon MP is looking at p0rn at the tax payers expense like a certain Ms Harperson's husband. Instead of coming clean he appears that he's lying about it.

Funny thing is if he just admitted that someone in his office looked at p0rn no-one would give a feck.

The question would then be what MPs should and shouldn't be doing.

If you are going to lie make it big.

Say you were doing research for one of your constituents on these matters as you were trying to find how easy children could access it.
