This is not a thread about what cannot be named.

Britain has historic connections with Commonwealth countries like India and that connection has allowed us to intervene in the past in conflicts like civil wars in Sierra Leone.

Yeah but the child has outgrown the parent. We still give India 'economic aid' despite India having a bigger economy than the UK and India saying they dont want the money.

You seem completely unaware that most Commonwealth countries have based their democratic institutions on UK ones.
Love what Zimbabwe did with it...

But snide jibes aside. We are a small island not an empire.

We are not in the dark ages anymore we shouldn’t need to bribe or cajoel those members its up to them to choose to uphold the laws they see fit.

I think its a great oportunity for the countries we have suppressed in the past to show how they have grown with out us.

Probably a good thing seeing how corrupt we are and being just a US vassal.

We're offshoring everything else to India, so why not this?

Are you on drugs? When has that institution ever done anything diplomatically useful, or indeed anything at all except hand out fines?

We should stop doing that and use the money on the NHS instead.

Not needed. We also need to stop sending aid to Pakistan.

As for Syria, let's stop sending aid and start sending replacement Syrians.

It's an absolute necessity, given the political and economic trajectory.
