One silver lining to Brexit - the NHS as it exists will probably disappear
However if you don't live in, or a mile or so from a wealthy area you won't find one.
I live in a wealthy area but no private GP here (and there are a few) want the responsibility of taking over your records. They have as much business as they need without that hassle.
I suspect genuine private GPs you can move to, lock and barrel, are not that many.

To be fair I was surprised I saw them but I remembered there are multi-million and billionaires nearby who due to being foreign would simply think the NHS is tulip.

Well if they are foreign they wouldn't have an NHS record.
I think you'll find that the GPs you mention won't have access to NHS records and won't want to - I'm not even sure if they're allowed to.
Years ago I did use a private GP on that model, a monthly fee and certain number of visits free for that amount.
But cancelled as I never used them.
The NHS model would be fine if it had the appropriate funding but as I said, the nation is skint.
It has the appropriate funding. Funding keeps getting increased and is ring-fenced.
I think the funding part is the bit that IS working, it's how it gets spent. I read recently the NHS gets £4k per adult per year, that should be enough.

Interestingly half the doctors are partners in NHS practices as well! So they work part-time in the NHS and privately.

Talking to a Czech woman yesterday working in London who told me our hospitals are a disgrace. Guess the 'we love the NHS' thing hasn't spread to our EU partners.

Mind you this is London we're talking about.
Since Mid-Staffs was no where near London and I've heard horror stories of hospitals outside London, it's a Nationwide problem.
Just don't get old and ill then you will be OK.

Just for the record, Chemotherapy is not always in the headline grabbing cost bracket and it's not just the Elderly that receive it. Let's hope you never need to find that out for yourself.
We have a very good private hospital 5 mins from where I live. It has it's own A+E and Ambulances. I was present when an elderly non-English speaking man was brought in in the throws of what looked like a heart attack, he was treated immediately, in the waiting area, and the person who brought him in was relieved of £50 (I suspect the final bill was much greater but that got you stable).
@TomTom: Thanks for putting facts in place of fantasy for the single minded.
