      <placeholder for German Political correctness>

      Options below to make their life easy:

      - Oh he has mental health issues and he tried to commit suicide in the past.
      - He is a lone gunman who was working out of resentment.
      - He was spotted near the church last weekend, so he should be a regular religious church goer.
      - He could be from the far right.
      - Refugee? What? Heil Merkel.

        Young men should be excluded from refugee status. If they are fighting age, then they should be defending their country on the side of the legitimate government. If they are not defending their country then they are terrorists and criminals; not refugees.

          No we do not have a duty to - you could argue we should for humanitarian reasons but there is no reason we have to.

          And the women - we live in a equal society - and maybe given other threads about the way these people treat their women it may be a useful way to start the integration.

          But as we now many of the refugees were simply using it as an excuse to come to Europe - the vast majority of them with peaceful intentions.

            Where are the blue berets of the UN these days?

            In past conflicts they would have had a peacekeeping role particularly in places like Syria where there is a ceasefire to maintain. Then, perhaps, people wouldn't need too flee in their droves.

            Just a thought.

                So should male German political refugees of fighting age during World War II have been sent back from neutral countries to defend their own country on the side of the legitimate government?

                      Political refugees are few are far between.
                      In WWII, they weren’t allowed to roam freely in the UK; they were interned in the IOM. Moreover, those Germans who were refugeesin WWII were grateful for any shelter unlike todays refugees who pick and choose a country and expect instant accommodation, food and living allowance.
