Not much of a story here is there?

To many accidental landlords or those who have over leveraged. They might feel some pain.

Property market probably needs a bit of a correction, again will burn some.

If in for the long term and have been sensible then chances are you will come out the other side. If lucky, might maintain or increase current rent and maybe pick up another property if it gets messy.

The government driven hysteria is not necessary nor helpful to anyone.

Not a few hundred k, but yes a big wodge of cash and gold.

Lending won't stop. It will tighten, but it won't stop.

But this is flimflam house prices aren't going to crash for some time yet. Not unless we have BREXIT. And even then maybe not for a while.

So, let me get this right, you are a house owner with a lot of equity, big wodge of cash and gold, yet you want to vote for Komrade Korbyn and you hate the rich?

Quite. It's the current 2-minute hate.
Instead of protecting tenants, who let's face it, are here to stay like in most capital cities, the govt. whips up a frenzy to prove they are "of the people".
                Hard Brexit now!

Very true. Plus if it drives prices so low I buy another house or two it will be helpful to my kids. Doubt prices will recover in time to fuel a sun kissed early retirement for me tho!

Ultimately house prices are not going to crash (really badly) IMHO unless the country is in the toilet. That will take more than Brexit alone (but that could be the start). Will take several other events to truly start a landslide though. Every gubberment, even Komrade knows a country based on service industry is a potential house of cards and are not going to poke at it as it keeps them in a job.
