They are NOT prevented on voting on English issues.

People with UK citizenship should have every God damn right to vote on UK issues if they feel like it.

Is there any other major democratic country that got such comtempt for its own citizens???

With the exception of local elections (in the EU and a very fewSwiss communities), non-citizens cannot register to vote in their country of residence. That means no choice regarding National/General elections and no voting in national referenda. Nor is there an automatic right of citizenship after a certain number of years.

I do think 15 years is not an unreasonable limit, however. By then in most countries you can at least apply for citizenship, if you want to.
That's your choice, you've elected to live in a society that denies suffrage to non natives. That's not a UK issue or one effecting UK democracy, that's a personal one to you.

Absolutely the moment that they meet the requirements to be granted a vote. The same way millions of people who have immigrated to the UK over many decades have already done.

And UK is society that denies right to vote to its citizens, very democratic!

Allows it for other citizens though:

A Commonwealth citizen living in the UK who has leave to remain in the UK or who does not require leave to remain in the UK

An Irish citizen living overseas who was born in Northern Ireland and who has been registered to vote in Northern Ireland in the last 15 years
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Now that's pretty daft thing - vote should be for citizens only, that's the whole point.

So what about overseas citizens who haven't yet met the requirements?

The subtlety is that Commonwealth and Irish citizens are not foreign. Foreign citizens are excluded.

Correct, the Commonwealth is Britain's own 'EU' only we're in charge and not Johnny Foreigner
