Gross Deception and abuse of trust that leaves the victim ecstatic (orgasmic even) can get you 8 years in the nick.

I just hope that judge doesn't tell his grandkids there is a father Christmas, because when that mask slips, they'll have him

How was she, has that nasty rash cleared up, yet, or did you "work round it"?

              I'm confused
In fairness, deception counts as rape as much as coercion.

For example, there was a case a few years ago when a burglar crept into a woman's bedroom, and she implicitly consented to sex with him believing (in the dark and her half asleep state) that he was her husband.

Eight years sounds ridiculously harsh to me (although I don't know all the details of the case).

This guy got four years for being an accessory to the murder of 300,000 people:

The 94 year old is likely to drop dead in prison. While there are more older prisons around they still live shorter than if they were on the outside.

And she got 8 years because the crime is unusual. People get less for lying about having blood borne diseases.

How in the world did she convince the victim to be blindfolded on all dates?

I think it's a bit silly and unfair. The defence that she obviously knew what was going on and that it was roleplay is pretty strong. I mean, come on. Bizarre case.
