Interesting to note the official reassurances that western medicine and facilities will be able to contain any outbreak. So far, one guy has been turned away by US hospitals, and then a Spanish nurse who was actually treating an Ebola victim and knew all there was to know about the disease has been getting passed from pillar to post by her own team and advised to take paracetamol.

It doesn't inspire confidence.

Indeed and isn't an 'outbreak' something which affects 100 if not 1000 of people in a short space of time.

Do not really think the odd nurse in Spain or geezer in America is an 'outbreak' more 2 or 3 isolated incidents on different continents ffs

It can't be confirmed or denied that there is an outbreak until the incubation period is over as its basically undetectable until then. There could be 100's of people incubating it in Spain right now, or there could be none.

Best just to relax and chill for 20 days, while divesting yourself of any assets related to the Spanish tourist industries.

There is no doubt that there will be outbreaks in Europe but they will be contained.

I think we are not that far from isolating all travel from the infected areas though. The west sending people over there is a signal that the process is about to start.

Given the death rate in some of our glorious NHS hospitals would anyone actually notice the odd case or two ebola anyway?

There were more controls in place when there was 'foot and mouth' . My car had to be hosed down with disinfectant before going to IOM. Arriving in European airports all Brits had to disinfect hands and shoes.
