+1 I haven't seen any thing new or out of the ordinary in any of these threads. I just see someone that just doesn't seem to understand what is going or can cope with the varied challenges that come with finding work.

That actually wasn't abuse. The simple fact is that the distance excuse is one agents often use when not putting you forward as you can't argue against it....

What is it with all these "than ever before" and "rise of" threads... you have one or two experiences with clients who want you local and you genuinely believe this constitutes a national shift? Just because something happens to YOU for the first time, doesn't mean it's new.

I expect i'll get some grief now, but I am genuinely trying to understand the need for the animosity when ultimately PC just made a statement and asked if "anyone else has experienced this lately?"

No wonder new posters are loathe to ask questions for the first time when the long standing members attack each other
