I am currently a 1st/2nd line IT contractor. I also have a Ltd company.

I am hoping to get some advise on here, hence that's why I've registered. Plus also to give away any knowledge, experience and hope to any other member.

The issue I have is that I am in a position to potentially set on other IT contractors and for them to work or trade through my company.

Is this possible and what is required for me to do this? Are there any financial/legal implications to this?

Any help or info would be gratefully appreciated.

    Andy.
You're in the wrong forum. Here is full of techie's who think because they have a ltd, and have learned the rules of the game about IR35, think they own and run a business.
Running a business is hard, employing people, no matter what route you take is painful.
However, if you want to move beyond earning 100k a year or so, then that’s what you’ve got to do. So if you’ve genuinely got the opportunity go for it.
There are plenty of professional companies who specialise in HR etc etc etc who will give you proper advice. All for a fee of course.
So what do you want to do? Earn a 100K a year, hang about this forum for 8 hours a day and have the easy life or have a 100ft boat in the med, private jet / hit skid row with a story to tell ...

      Thanks Jeebo.

T hats why fear mongerers don't get anywhere.

I am going to take it a day at a time and have faith that each problem will be overcome and solved.

Its not to say I don't appreciate others opinions/feedback, but it can be negative and prevent life from unfolding.

Would anyone be willing to share their experience and knowledge or be willing to help?

And that is exactly why you are so far out of your depth. To do what Jeebo is talking about needs a business plans, strategy, marketing and a good business head. Taking it one day at a time could not be a worse way of approaching it. You are trying to run a business, not try make an extra buck from day to day. A business man seizing an opportunity and a 1st line support guy with a dollars in his eyes couldn't be further apart. You will have to leave this one alone I am afraid.

You have mentioned security clearance twice. Only a listX company can deal with security clearances. If you are not, you can't. If you roles need SC then you are dead in the water. Are all the roles SC cleared? Even more reason to walk away.

Would anyone be willing to share their experience and knowledge or be willing to help?
I can see 6 pieces of feedback all saying the same thing. I guess you won't take the right answer and look to posts like Jeebos to go forward on. If that is the case then we can't help you. You won't listen.

p.s. hope you come across better in correspondence with your client. You don't sound very capable looking at your posts so far... Just saying like.

          To Northen lad uk!

          Who are you?

You sound very afraid of what is and like to take control of the world from your bedroom.

Please focus on what youre doing and try not to advise on something you really havent got any idea about.

Now please keep your opinions and advise to your self, unless they're positive pearls of wisdom and your include your own experience.

I agree - if you haven't any idea about something, you probably shouldn't advise on it.
But if you haven't any idea about something, you definitely shouldn't be doing it!
