The post isnt wrong. I wouldnt post that contractors have been given 4 weeks notice if they hadnt. I can clarify though that it appears Technology may not be included in the current announcement.Originally posted by manclarky View PostI just mailed a couple of contractors and this original post is wrong.
The project my friend is on has just hired 2 more contractors
Contractors in operational areas have been told 4 weeks.
I consider BoA to be a good source of repeat business since I have worked for them for most of the last 5 years, up to August this year. So, naturally, Im disappointed that BoA are looking to sell the UK & Ireland portfolio asap.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

No. BoA are looking to sell the UK and Ireland portfolio. If they can get someone like Virgin to take the business on and keep it at Chester, all well and dandy. If not, then it will only close when it's sold.Originally posted by Fred Bloggs View PostI thought MBNA in Chester was supposed to be closing?I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

[QUOTE=manclarky;1418904]CP or rather Adecco, are BoA's single preferred supplier. Ultimately, every contractor on site is through Adecco.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostI think the devil is in the details here and we don't have them.
The guys direct with the agencies left.QUOTE]
The guy I spoke to is through Computer People. He's been told his current contract which is until Dec 23rd won't be extended, but he was told that 3 months ago, so it's great news really.
Personally, I never put much weight on what adecco told me when I was there.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Not meaning to hijack/derail this thread, but I heard something similar about RBS.
I was told that their contractors in the technical services sphere were all given 4-weeks notice yesterday.
Apparently the Bank wants to tidy up it's bookeeping before the end of the year. Supposedly said contractors will be brought back on board shortly afterwards, but the person with whom I spoke didn't seem to certain.Comment
