IMO, that's what it means. But there are some people who would say that you can leave the client with no notice.

IMO, no notice period = you can't terminate the contract.

However, one should check with the agent to see what that means to avoid any potential confusion and doubt. If the agent doesn't know, then you can use that to negotiate a notice period, or get the agent to find out and resolve the anomoly.

Only downside is that if you get offered a better contract which requires you to leave, you will find it hard to accept the new offer, especially if you can't leave to accept the new contract.
