    I wouldn't travel a long way to do this... what if the agent is in London and you and the gig are elsewhere?

      I had to do this with Hays, £16 train ticket and 5 hours of my time to show some spivvy agent my passport before they could put me forward for interview... I wouldn't have minded if I'd got the gig.

      It would seem like a small price to pay if you already have the gig in the bag though, I wouldn't be moaning about it.
