At least you're seeing roles up there. I'm in the midlands and not seeing much in the way of roles for me. Which is why I've just taken a contract down south and am going to be living away from home Monday to Friday.

If the rates are that much different, it has to be worth a quick flight down to London? Even if you only do it for 6 months, you'll earn as much as 2 years up there!

That's the norm for me - jobs in Jockland would also require me to stay over so that makes the role impossible when you factor in your Edinburgh city centre luxury bothy....
