It is mostly feeling of depression but there is also some self-hatred , confidence shake and bleak future projections.

Look on the bright side: Gordon Brown will be gone soon.

Bench is calling me next month.
So far this year (and decade ) I've had about 8 calls about real positions.
Most permie, and a couple contract.

Definitely more going on now than the last 3 months of 2009.

I'm getting this impression also. You need to know the needs of the client without them having to tell you, this is how it feels in my sector, client's are expecting 12/10 at the minute. Trust trust trust... it's all that matters now.

                  With hope.....

Have an interview Monday, which I first applied for on the 2nd Nov(!)

Also a past client is making tentative steps - are you available?, we might - if we can get budget etc...

I've got other things now, Plan B & ExMBA studying - but still want to get back in the saddle.

Quite a frustrating time on the bench - over 6 months. Now I'm just going with the flow.

That makes me feel a bit better Tingles!

How long did it take them to contact you after your initial application?
