I had an interview with a certain large well known Indian consultancy last week for a job at a bank in the City, the techie interview was conducted over the phone by a series of different guys in India, all v. strange. They didn't know anything about the role or where it would be based !

There is no such language as "Indian".

There are multiple Indian native languages some of which are similar. However the people who are fluent in more than one tend to be female.

Made all the more impressive, of course, since there is no such thing as "Indian" as a language.
