Little Article about Lies of Agencies

A few weeks back I read a fantastic article from an actual agent, who explained all the trick questions the agencies would ask you over the phone and what it really meant.

e.g. I need to have 2 references before hand means He is not interested in you but want to find companies who are looking for contractors. etc.

I found it an incredibly useful article, whichI didn't bookmark and can't find anymore.

Does anyone know please where to find that?

If a contractor is spot on for a job then the agent will not want to put the contractor off by making him/her jump through unnecessary hoops. I would go further and say that if the contractor is not forthcoming about providing references and that he is perfect for the job then you can bet your life savings that the agent will make them up.

You can understand why some contractors are suspicious of some agencies when it comes to referee requests, surely?

To respond to your last sentence, it is somewhat shocking that agencies go to that extent, rather than establish a good working relationship with the candidate in order to get references from them.
