Anyway - back to the original question. Most of us have been in this situation I'm afraid, all I would suggest is go back to agent/company B and tell them you have had a job offer (verbally) and what is happening to the role? this may gee them up a bit.
As this is not the time to pick and choose I would accept the first contract offered - by this I mean after you have checked the T&C's and signed. Just because the agent calls you and says you hvae got the gig, it is not set in sign until you get the contract through.
