Anyone going to the London 2012 shindig?

"Business Briefing & Networking Event - Thursday 17th April."

I'm signed up and assuming it will be full of desperate 2012 managers waving big fat juicy contracts to be signed on the spot...

I'm pants at networking, beginning to wonder if it's worth going. There's not even any free beer.

It was an email invite to those who registered as interested in bidding for contracts for the Olympics.

Guess that's a 'No' from the panel then.

Now where did I put that "Business Networking for Dummies" book...?

I signed up to the 2012 volunteer scheme, thinking that I might get offered something technically interesting to do for a week or two.

I got offered "packing boxes at my local Hospice".

        I de-registered.

Agreed. This 2012 event is purely commercial avarice.
