    oops

Worth checking this out I think.ESS will be doing EVERYTHING they can to get their money from the client. Veritas's contract with the client will state that they have to pay a perm placement fee. It wont effect you but your employer will get a bill for this.

      ???

VoiceOFReason: who are you? Why are you sending Cheesedoff wierd private messages. Anyone that lives in Sherington will know JG. Can't see a problem with Cheesedoff message. Greg, Marcus and Jason must be sitting pretty when they have been paying themselves an absolute fortune in the last few years.

No links found between ESS and Veritas

The WHOIS domain name database shows the domains urecruitment.com, urecruitment.co.uk and urecruitment.net were registered by Charles Blackbourn of ESS Recruitment Ltd (company number 5355897).

Companies House lists Mr Blackbourn as secretary and director, and two further directors: Jonathon Freedman and Jonathon Schapira.

All three gentlemen are listed as current secretary or director at 4 or 5 other companies. Mr Blackbourn (as secretary and director) and Mr Schapira (as director) are the sole people on the list of appointments for U Recruitment Group Ltd. This company (6001877) was incorporated on 17/11/2006.

Veritas Recruitment Group Ltd (3694134) had until yesterday four current appointments: Pramod Dhalwani, Jason Giller, Gregory Lawless and Marcus Villa Buil. (Resignations are shown on Companies House, dated 12/10/07 – but the names are not shown yet). Those four all have between 2 and 6 additional appointments with other companies. On the first drill down, there was no match between any company of the Veritas officers to any company of the ESS or U Recruitment Group officers. Nor could I find a tie-in between the shareholders.

On this high-level evidence it appears the set up is genuine enough. Yet the ESS letter to contractors which omits any reference to our lost income left a bad taste when I read it. It might be legal and business like, but it isn’t right in my mind. I continue to hunt a new contract somewhere fresh.

          My God

With Scroats like Michael Varley and w*****s like Giller, Villa-Buil and Lawless in charge of companies, no wonder this country is so sh*t

Here here cheesedoff!!! Its a joke. What is going on here I say to myself. You couldn't make this one up. How the hell can 3 directors not know what is going on in their own company. How can they let a joke like Pramod run their finances?? How can all these people be left high and dry like this. Then you have the likes of MSB and TEC Europe trying to get all the contractors to go with them. Unless they are going to back date all their pay my advice is stay clear. As for the company that has taken over all the contracts, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, not if they have the likes of MV working for them!! This whole situation is insane.

              jsheridan ,

Good for you . But what if ESS comes back to you and client ? How are you going to handle the situation as you may be having a 6 months restriction clause in your contract ?

                non-transfer clause

                all,

in the veritas contract (at least mine and a couple of ones that I have seen) has non-transfer clause:

                "
                13. Assignment
Neither party shall assign transfer or sub-contract to any third party the benefit and/or burden of this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other.
                "
So this clause would mean that ESS/urec.. couldn't take over our contracts unless we have a written consent.

                right ?

Which might mean that contract's re not in Veritas's hand , nor ESS (if you don't give the consent) then it is seems much easier to go direct.

                  Ess

                  all,

What I still do not understand is what ESS has brought - is it just the income to Veristas not invoiced/recieved for the contracts ?

My (and the clients) contract states Veristas - how can they be transfered to another company without both our permissions ?

It seems to me if ESS pay upfront % 75-100 of the outstanding invoices then I will sign up with them.

what do other people think ?

                    minesapint ,

You are joking , if thats the case they should have mentioned that in there e-mail tehy sent to contractors . I would never go with these guy's after that e-mail , unless if you have 1+ months of pending invoices that they are willing to pay and if your client is not will to change agencies or sign up direct and if you dont have a choice.

Has anyone actually responded to the ESS emails?
