    What went well:
    WFH for a whole year

    What went bad:
WFH for a whole year - I appreciate the odd trip to the office.
Was hoping to retire this year and holiday around Europe, skiing most of the season.
    Didn't and won't.

Worked all year, 3 different contracts, in fact most days billed I've ever had, which is strange considering what's gone on this year.

      What went well:
Managed to get 2 contracts in Covid lockdown. Bulked up the war chest, ready for next years shenanigan's

      What went bad:
no time off at all since last xmas. No holidays. No nothin.

No money lost, fortunately. It was in the last planning stages in March, just before we got the credit cards out...

            what went well
Worked throughout. Haven't totted up the days billed yet but all down time has been of my choosing. Scored a 25% rate increase on changing gigs the day lockdown 1 started. Managed to have two trips away, to Spain and Portugal, which kept my sanity levels topped up.

            what didn't go well
General disgruntlement around not seeing people and doing stuff, like everyone else.

early retirement is my dream. Do you have enough money saved or found some plan B to work on?

How did you do this year?
                  Rubbish

                  What went bad:
Binned end March due to IR35 flakiness of foreign(!) client
By the time IR35 reform was lifted, my position was back filled
New Job1 which started in Oct as Outside IR35 was terminated four days in (at same (bloody) client as above!) due them having a rethink and expecting me to sign an Inside version. Nope.
New Job 2 which was due to have started in Oct, has yet to start.

                  What went well:
Job 2 still has my name on it (So technically this is more of a What Will Go Well)
Am publishing a book. Will be in the shops for Xmas. New venture, new world, all very interesting...

retiring whilst still fit to ski counts as early in the eyes of the government. If too many people do that they'll shift the pension ages again.

                      What went bad:
                      Binned end of April.
Ripped off with garage roof to the tune of 4k, still smarts.
Clients/pimps just not bothering to tell you ya or nay after an interview. Goes with the territory but still pisses me off

                      What went well:
                      WFH since March.
Lockdown with the family, it was nice.
                      Working on plan B
                      Now back at previous client.
Selling loads of stuff on ebay, which is paying for xmas presents. Frugal? Moi?

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.
