Just got a call from them today. Really bad phone connection and a very strong accent. I kept having to ask her to repeat her questions. Of course, they were unable to tell me anything about the job and all they were interested in was beating down my rate. The I get an unsolicited email asking me to confirm my interest. No thanks.

Ah, I remember the wonderful calls from them.

I remember one from a "Jean-Pierre", hoping I was having a good morning... in the evening.

Ripped him a new one. I remember he got irate when I politely pointed out that given he was giving me a false name, why would I want to do business with a company i couldn't trust.

Five minutes later, get a phone call "You mother<bleep>er, I'm going to have sex with your mum". When I replied she'd been dead for a decade, he went silent... then replied "I'm going to have sex with your mum". I just laughed and he hung up.

I keep getting calls from "Avance Consulting"

They normally tied in with HCL, along with Accutor as well. and at one bank I was with there were payment problems with accutor with quite a few of my contractor colleagues and needless to say that caused no end of problems.

same story with every other company out there. Come april there will be plane loads of people coming from india.
Its come to the point where indian outsourcer are asking a lot more money and the clients have no other option than to pay them. Forget about contracting it will be difficult to even get a permie job.

TCS two months in at current client co and they already wish they could go back to Infosys, which they thought were bad.
What I wanted to say is companies use the Indian service companies for years and if they don't like them they switch to another, it somehow doesn't occur to them to switch to a local one or to take back things in their own hands. The failure just continues

It's like living with a lousy partner isn't? He/She doesn't know what the new one would bring in - Known devil is better than unknown angel!
