You'd best post the required skills unless you want a complete list of who's on the bench right now
Boo
Well, the role title tends to exclude the code monkeys, support bods and DBA's, it will exclude many of the interim management types too, not exactly a stretch to figure out the skillset required.
I've a lot of experience in the security field, but I'm a PM...
Wouldn't CIO make you a controlling person so opens a whole can of worms?
No, it's just a professional expert role, similar to many that contractors do. Understanding RACI may help you with the assumptions you love to leap to.
The person accountable is the controlling person, a CIO would be responsible, not accountable.
Oh you deleted your post, shame I quoted you for posterity there then

I think he deleted it 'cos he realised he'd misread the title
"Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.
Yep.. Caught the word officer and the mobile app only shows Chief Information in the title. Put two and two together and came out with 'I'm a tit'... Sorry.

LOL... What a load of utter pap. It's something that rang a bell so I suggested it might be a problem. No assumptions, just a question.
I mentioned it because of the furor around Deepak Singh (CIO) and Jim Morrison (Head of HR), both at HMRC were found to be IR35 tax avoiders. Comments in the papers were things like...
In 2009, he moved job to become acting chief information officer and began to be paid as a temporary arrangement through his company.
Although he earned less in the new post, because he could pay tax at a lower ‘company’ rate under his new arrangement, he could have personally benefited from the deal.
A similar arrangement was approved for Jim Morrison, the Revenue’s acting head of human resources in 2008, who was paid through his company, JM HR Consulting.
Hence my initial question, which on the face of it actually looks like a valid one... until you dig deeper and they got caught by being ex HMRC employees so Friday to Monday contractors, not because the are controlling persons.... Oh silly me... You can quote this one post of the posterity so no one forgets how stupid I am hahahaha
Jeez.. Have to do better than that sonny jim...

Jesus, even after he (most likely) died of a Heroin Overdose and despite leaving behind a timeless recording legacy Hector STILL chased him for disguised employee status!, what a bunch of twunts
