Granny 1 died in 1970, Granny 2 died in 1977 (the same day as Elvis, as it happens). Does that mean I've 'won' something...?

Did no one think ahead, that leaving the EU was going to cause a shortage of workers, which will result in huge pay increases, decreased usage of roads, schools and medical care?

Probably lead to much cheaper housing too.

I really despair that people couldn't see these effects before hand.
Interesting the mass influx was in 2004 and you didn't spot the issue then. This is just stealing cheap workers from Eastern Europe being undone.

As we didn't build any new infrastructure until we were forced to, having some spare capacity will be a relief.

Feck me remoaners are thick! They were warned.

Luckily 5 million cheap workers have applied to stay in the UK as going home to the EU obviously doesn't appeal. I wonder why?

One thing that is great about Brexit is that all the hypotheses such as the positive effects of a mass exodus of nursing staff or the revival of the shellfish industry can be tested in real time.

The increased salaries will compensate for the increases in the costs of goods and services, win win.

The U.K. is experiencing its biggest decrease in foreign workers since World War II, presenting a challenge to an economy already roiled by Brexit and the coronavirus.
