Greece is growing at twice the Uk rate, at roughly 3%.Originally posted by minestrone View PostYes, I will thanks.
Also Germany may be making a surplus but it's economy isn't growing and it still has significant debt. But thanks to the Irish, Spanish, Italians and Greeks being in the Euro they can take this monetary pain for the mother land.
An interesting experiment has been conducted.
For the first time ever in history the Latin economies have had to deal with a mega-downturn while having a strong currency they couldn't devalue.
Now they've come through that, it will be interesting to see what happens.
On the other hand the UK had a massive forced devaluation in 2016 and still can't post its average post-war 2% growth rateHard Brexit now!

I think calling it "free" is kind of dishonest.Originally posted by minestrone View PostI think it is going to be great with a free trade deal with the USA.
There'll be nothing free about it.
It will involve the UK lubing up and bending over.
Hard Brexit now!

C'mon, Irelands GDP jumped by 25% the other year. That's completely normal.Originally posted by sasguru View PostSounds like the UK economy before Gordon Brown solved the problem.
Once this Brexit stuff is over Larry Grayson Jnr is going to get told that Ireland's tax laws are no longer in line with what the EU wants.Comment

There will be nothing 'free' about a trade deal with the US. We'll be a minnow and will be well and truly screwed by Trump and his team.
