Donald Tusk claims anti-European forces meddled in Brexit vote

Donald Tusk has claimed external powers meddled in the Brexit vote as he called for EU member states to do more to protect the upcoming European elections.

Speaking at a press conference in Brussels with the Armenian prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, the European council president said he agreed with the French president, Emmanuel Macron, who used a column in the Guardian and other newspapers to call on European countries to be alert to malign influences.

Oh FFS get real. The only reason I didn't donate several million quid to the Leave campaign, is that I didn't have a spare several million quid.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

By the sounds of it, nor did Aaron Banks, possibly....
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

And if it was Putins’ money donated via Banks, would you have a problem with it?

Would you have a problem if Russian hacked UK voter info was used for microtargeting by Brexit campaign?

It's in Putin's interest to weaken and destabilize the EU as much as possible. If he didn't attempt to meddle in the Brexit vote it would be surprising. Whether it made a difference is a matter of speculation.

Why is this any different from Obama going on TV during the campaign ands saying that if the UK voted to leave it would be at the back of the queue regarding a trade deal with the US.

Why is this any different to Tusk now claiming that the UK referendum was rigged by interference by the Russians. Its scare mongering and an attempt to throw weight behind a 2nd referendum. It's interfering in British politics.

why is this any different to Momentum making extensive use of social media outlets during the last GE. Or was this Russian sponsored?

At the end of the day all media outlets are open to all political parties to use put their case to the electorate, but at the end of the day it is still the responsibility of the individual to put his/her/insert gender here mark on the ballot paper and put that paper in the SEALED ballot box. If you are so easily persuaded by all the cr*p and tulip you see on social media then I think you should disconnect yourself from the internet period.

The use of social media is not the problem. Funding from outside the U.K. in a political campaign is illegal.

Please, excluding anything you may have seen, or heard, on any form of social media, present for evidence for the above statement on here. better still I suggest you submit your evidence to the relevant authorities as withholding it might be perceived as a criminal offence in its own right. I think you are having difficulty comprehending the thread. You asked what the difference was, I explained it to you.

Any evidence of wrongdoing in terms of over-funding has already been through the courts. Leave was guilty. Any evidence of foreign funds being used is still being investigated.

Again in line with your previous statement stating that foreign funds were begin used I suggest you forward your evidence for such a crime to the relevant authorities.

OR withdraw your claim that foreign funds were used in the Brexit campaign.

Or provide details of where I can send the men in suits to collect your evidence you hold that foreign money was used in the campaign.
