Arron Bank, bankroller of Brexit, only met Russian ambassador once

It's entirely above board and there's nothing to see.

Mr Banks dismissed the idea of a link between Russia and Brexit as “complete bollocks”. The only interaction he has had with the Russians was a “boozy six-hour lunch with the ambassador where we drank the place dry”, he wrote. Mr Banks added that the brandy and vodka provided was “cracking” and that he had already written about the encounter in his book, “The Bad Boys of Brexit”.

Well, maybe not just the one lunch.

Mr. Banks admits only that he had “two boozy lunches” with the Russian ambassador and another cup of tea, accusing the Remain campaign of trying to discredit everyone involved in Brexit.

All seems entirely right and proper.

So 2 hours more than David Davis spent negotiating Michel Barnier?

It’s up to 11 possible meetings now, plus the gold mines.....

If Leave were a political party (say, Labour] and one of the key figures in that party had met with Russian officials over an extended period of time, there would be an uproar from the right-wing sections of the press and the gammons.

Remember the Russian hat on Corbyn? That wasn’t that long ago.

That doesn't sound right at all. You must have got confused by fake news. Brexit is a patriotic movement, so it seems highly unlikely that leading Brexiteers would have got the Russians involved. There are some very nasty words to describe that kind of behaviour.

Exactly! What could be more innocent than the Brexit bankroller from forgetting about meetings he has had with the Russian ambassador?
