The fact that the majority of British people who voted in the referendum voted to leave does not in any way change the following facts:

    1. The vote was not legally binding on the government nor parliament.
    2. The UK is a representative democracy - MPs votes according to what they think is best for the country, not what the majority of the voting electorate think.
    3. As a result of 1. and 2. there is nothing undemocratic or unlawful about MPs/the government choosing to cancel Brexit.

My opinion is that Brexit is bad for Britain, and worse for Britain than remaining. This opinion does not indicate in any way, shape or form, a lack of belief in democracy being the least worst possible form of government.

That's just federal. At cantonal and community level there's even more. (Some are called initiatives). But yes, Switzerland is the most democratic country on earth. Sovereignty resides with the community, power is devolved to higher levels, but may, in principle, be taken back.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

That is your opinion and I would fight for your right to say it. Not that the Swiss would fight for my right to my opinion.

You can use all the weasley words you like. No-one has any idea what the affect on Brexit will be on the UK.

Lets say it will end badly for the UK. What price freedom?

In South Africa to get freedom from an oppressive regime, violent action was taken which minimized civilian casualties. Now that is seen as not just okay, but the right thing to have done. Nelson Mandela is seen as a freedom fighter, not a terrorist.

And yet the apartheid regime used similar weasley words to which you used to justify their actions.

I might add that few in the UK want Brexit. However the people are sick and tired of inequality. The vote was a protest one.

I would cancel Brexit if it meant stopping non-dom status, disallowing branding as a business expense and taxing global income on UK citizens. And if HMRC went after the rich with the same zeal they go after the poor.

Because they think having more money than someone else makes them a better person.

You can tell what God thinks of money - look at those he gives it to.....

Yes they do - plenty of ideas. From the new British Empire right through to a desolate wasteland. Your opinion is that no-one can know what will happen. This is true. That's why it's all couched in probabilities - because we can reason as to what is likely to happen.

Lets say it will end badly for the UK. What price freedom?
My considered opinion is that the people of the UK will be less free if / when the UK leaves the EU. In which case, the price of freedom is "stay within the EU".

I would cancel Brexit if it meant stopping non-dom status, disallowing branding as a business expense and taxing global income on UK citizens. And if HMRC went after the rich with the same zeal they go after the poor.

Unless you're a Tory who branded the ANC a terrorist organisation...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Going round killing civilians is my idea of a terror organisation.
