As I said hindsight is wonderful, I turned up at a recommended Chartered Accountancy and asked about setting up a LTD company, but was then given the IR35 investigations rising blurb and told that QC counsel recommended tax scheme was totally out of IR35...the rest is history...

Obviously now I realise that the Chartered Accountancy firm was affiliated to a scheme provider and was getting a payment every month, but it was sold by an accountant and I (like many others) thought they know best.

Yes I feel a prat, but also annoyed how slick sales tactics were used to frighten many into going into these schemes.

I bet she complains about those fiddly little 5p pieces as well not like the old shilling bit now that was a proper coin mind you it's not like it was back then anyway and you never had to lock your door although of course there was a war on so you couldn't be too careful.
