VAT 101 - EC Sales list exemption

I know that EC Sales list must be submitted if a company mov, transfer or supply goods to other EU countries.
But what if a company buy goods from other EU countries (import)? Should the EC sales list be submitted in this case?

    Many thanks.

In my opinion, I think you don't need to complete an EC Sales List. EC Sales Lists are required where you make supplies of goods and certain services to other EU countries. If you're simply buying in goods there is no need to complete one.
