Wills - does a beneficiary of a will get the right to see it?

I have been told verbally that I am the beneficiary of a will. So far I haven't seen a copy of the will, and I am wondering if I have a legal right to ask for a copy.

To be honest I would have thought it was the acting solicitor's duty to notify me, and if not him, the executor should have sent me a copy. But I really don't know.

    Thoughts please.

Because I'm sat here waiting for something slow to happen, I thought I'd google this for you. Pertinent result below -
