Thank you so much to all those not affected who are prepared to give support. Remember, this law is an attack on a legal principle, that all citizens have a right to certainty that an action that is legal can not be made illegal after the event. If allowed to stand it won't be the last, and who knows what they might decide they dont like in future and retrospectively change.Originally posted by Coalman View PostLike others, not directly affected but this is so wrong.
Please ask anyone you can think of if they would consider signing,
it might be them next time!Comment

That's why I've signed the petition, sent letters to my MP (using Donkey Rhubarbs templates) and make the odd supportive post in the BN66 threads. Retrospection offends my sense of justice, it's a total disgrace.Originally posted by poppy01 View PostThank you so much to all those not affected who are prepared to give support. Pretty vague. You're against Section 58 of some obscure act, I clicked on more details and now I know it's a change of another obscure act from 1987 (it doesn't say which act).
And it's put forward by Andrew Neil, is that the one with the Communist show with Diane Abbot?Comment

The issue is that it is retrospective legislation. Do you agree with retrospective legislation?Originally posted by hugebrain View PostPretty vague.
