Bit of a dweeb question, but here goes.
I'm using the "free" service offered by Brookson (and provided by Tenon) to complete my 2007 / 2008 tax return for me.
Tenon have requested the interest summary for that tax year for my personal bank account(s).
How does one usually obtain the interest summary for a personal bank account for the duration of a given tax year? Is it something that will always appear on bank statements at the end of the tax year, or does one usually have to phone the bank to ask them what the figure is? Do they send a letter out automatically if you inform them you're doing self-assessment returns?
I've phoned NatWest and requested this information and they seem to be taking their time to get back to me.
